The free agent frenzy in the National Football League is in full swing. Plenty of names have found homes in new places for the 2012 NFL season (Vincent Jackson to Tampa, Mario Williams to Buffalo). One of those players, former Raiders starting quarterback Jason Campbell, is now a Chicago Bear. This leaves another need in a line of needs for the Silver and Black. Here is the top five free agent needs for the Raiders.

Cornerback: After losing Nnamdi Asomugha to free agency last summer, the Raiders were one of the leagues worst pass defenses last season. Stanford Routt, now with the Kansas City Chiefs after his release, was the league leader in penalties last season. With Chris Johnson also released, the Raiders don't have a single starting cornerback from the previous two seasons. Only two pure corners remain on the roster, second year players Chimdi Chekwa and DeMarcus Van Dyke. The Raiders possible answer could be Tracey Porter. Porter played for new head coach Dennis Allen in New Orleans

Linebacker: Aaron Curry staying is going to be key to the Raiders in the long run. Cameron Wimbley is a different animal. The locks could be changed if Wimbley doesn't restructure his contract. If Wimbley departs, the Raiders are left with Curry, Rolando McClain, and Travis Goethel, who will be returning from a season ending injury.

Back-up Quarterback: With Campbell gone to the Windy City this is Carson Palmer's team. The Raiders, however, would be in-need of a veteran back-up if Palmer goes down. With Kyle Boller running out of favor, Tyrell Pryor not ready, look for the Raiders to go for a back-up who can make an impact.

Running Back: Ok, we all know we have Run DMC. That is a given but the reason why I bring this in, Darren McFadden has yet to play for a complete season of football. With Michael Bush leaving to persue a starting job, this leaves the Raiders with with the slight but speedy Tiwan Jones. The Raiders will be looking for a backup who will be able to carry the load as an every down back if McFadden goes down. Cedric Benson???

Defensive Line: Richard Seymour will remain a Raider for the next couple seasons after restructuring his contract (I wish Tommy Kelly would follow suit). This depends on what kind of scheme the Raiders decide to play on defense next season. John Henderson is officially cut after a failed physical. If Winbley is no longer with the team the Raiders will need to go after a pass rusher if a 3-4 is ran. The Raiders need an every down NT and a pass rushing end. Aubrayo Franklin would be a solution, but it would also come with a price.
