Oakland Raiders reportedly hired former offensive coordinator Tony Sparano Wednesday morning. Just in time to join the rest of the Raiders staff at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.

Sparano was not so impressive as the lead play-caller for the Jets' play-caller, but has always been viewed as a solid line coach, and adds credibility to novice coach Dennis Allen's reorganized staff. As for right now it’s uncertain Sparano is ever called on again to lead a team or offense, but he should be able to coach linemen as long as he has the fire for it.

The former Dolphins’ head coach will also serve as an assistant head man to Allen on the sideline. Sparano also has experience with the Cowboys from 2003-07 where he shared the same titles.
