Terrelle Pryor was drafted in the supplemental draft in July of 2011 as a suspended player by the NFL. The terms of his suspension were to sit for the first five games, the punishment was handed down by commissioner Roger Goodell. Therefore, this did give him an opportunity to have a good start.
This what it take to potray the Raider Image!
The Raiders have always been known as misfits and tend to take those players that no one else seems to give a chance. Great examples, stands from using legendary Raider players like Jack Tatum and Lester Hayes who at their time were both considered to be misfits of the NFL.
The Ohio state star quarterback pondered quiting the game when he found out he wouldn't be the starter in 2012. But Pryor decided to stick around and his immediate job in Oakland is proving, he's worth a roster spot.
Pryor stated "Carson is the starter and he's going to be the starter, but I don't put myself as I'm going to be a backup". I personally think this man has what it takes to be a great NFL quarterback he has the size the strength and agility to make it big.
The Jamarcus draft bust the raiders was in a desperate need for a quarterback and Oakland found a short term solution in a two time Pro-Bowler Carson Palmer.
But will the truth catch up to him at some point will his age and past injuries haunt him down the road and who will step up?
Palmer taking the Raiders to the AFC Championship and beyond is high doubtful, certainly my perception but I beleive young Pryor has what it takes to lead the Raiders into future and to drive the team to the great success.
