Oakland Raiders' strong safety Tyvon Branch has signed his $6.22 million franchise tender offer Monday morning.

According to NFL.com's Jason La Canfora, Branch is still "very much seeking a long-term deal," therefore at this time no one is sure if he’ll report to minicamp or not.

The Raiders still are dealing with salary cap issues, and it can only benefit the franchise to get Branch to agree to a long-term deal and lower his 2012 salary cap number. The team has until July 16 to reach a long term deal with their defensive standout.

For the past three seasons with the Raiders, Branch has been their leading tackler.  Last season he had 109 tackles, one sack and one interception.
