Many Questions Arise for the Future of the Raiders
The Oakland Raiders arrived in Oakland last night in-front of a large number of the Raider Nation at the Alameda Practice Facility. Many fans vibrant as the Raiders returned from Houston with a 25-20 victory over the Houston Texans. It was the Raiders first win at Relliant Stadium.
Today, the Raider team gets ready for the Cleveland Browns to come to O.co this Sunday. But for the organization, many questions are needed to be sorted out with the passing of long-time Raider owner, Hall of Famer, and NFL legend Al Davis.
Comcast Sportsnet Bay Area is reporting that CEO Amy Trask and Mark Davis have a list of possible candidates for what could be a new Raiders General Manager. This would be the first time the Raiders would have a GM since 2003.
As for who runs the organization, from the looks of things Mark Davis, the son of Al Davis, will run the organization with the help of Trask. Hue Jackson was asked after the game if he had spoken with Davis about how the daily football operations would now be run.
"No, I haven't talked with him and I'm not really concerned about that," Jackson said. "I'm more concerned with today and what we were doing. I'm sure we'll all get together and make the right decisions, but that's not of any worry right now.
"Right now, we're Raiders and this team is still run by Coach Davis and his family and that's the way it's going to be."
